Past Forward is an open project of living culture, aimed at creating multidisciplinary experiences, an expression of Italy and its multiple cultures in an international perspective.

Past Forward is the construction of a new moment in time. Past Simple, Past Continuous and then Past Forward: a time that wasn’t there, that now has been found. A time suspended between past and future, the moment in which history becomes a living experience today and inspiration for tomorrow. A time of fusion, between historical sedimentation and contemporary dynamism.

 

MISSION

Past Forward is a company established in order to help cultural heritage (public and private, material and human) to raise funds for its maintenance and to sensitize public opinion on the di usefulness of enhancing cultural assets as drivers of the economy.
 
To achieve this goal, Past Forward proposes cultural projects to its partners, among which there are some of the most important Italian private historic houses, iconic places, museums, theatres, internationally renowned artists, antique dealers, art galleries, collectors of art, intellectuals.
 
All partners share relationships and know-how with Past Forward, in the belief that it is essential to team up to carry out the proposed projects.
 
 

 

BRIEF HISTORY OF PAST FORWARD

Past Forward (PF) was presented on 4 October 2016 in Milan at Palazzo Visconti as an association and, in 2018, it became a limited liability company (società a responsabilità limitata, Srl). PF works with Partners on complex and ambitious copyrighted projects.

 

2017/2018 PF with Villa Valguarnera:

• participated in Manifesta 12 in Palermo with the artist Claudy Jongstra (artist and SUSTAINABILITY activist) 

• concluded a contract between Jongstra and Hermés

• presented Past Forward at ClimateWeek in New York 2018, at the invitation of the artist

• entered into a collaboration agreement with the Claudy Jongstra firm. 

 

2019 PF with Villa Valguarnera

• salone del Mobile in Milan with Claudy Jongstra for Google in collaboration with Hopkins University.
